Beat the dealer's hand without going over 21. Face cards count 10 and an ace counts 1 or 11, whichever is better for you.

You and the dealer each get two cards; one of the dealer's is face down. Then it is your move: Hit for another card, Stand to keep what you have, Double to take exactly one more card for twice the stake, Split a pair into two separate hands, or Surrender a fresh hand to get half the stake back. Go over 21 and the hand is lost immediately.

When you stand, the dealer turns over the hole card and draws to 16, standing on all 17s. The higher total wins.

A two-card 21 pays 3 to 2. Any other win pays even money, and a tie returns your stake. Split hands can double; split aces get one card each. If the dealer shows an ace you are offered insurance for half your stake, which pays 2 to 1 if the dealer has a two-card 21.

Two optional side bets can be placed before the deal. Perfect Pairs pays on your first two cards: 26x for a matching pair of the same suit, 11x for the same colour, 6x for any pair. 21+3 pays on your two cards plus the dealer's upcard: 101x for a suited three of a kind, 41x for a straight flush, 31x for three of a kind, 11x for a straight, 6x for a flush.
